As a sales and marketing executive with The Coca-Cola Company, Dave was often called upon to create new products, start-up new departments, or solve significant business problems. In so doing, he developed a strong entrepreneurial spirit within a large corporation.
As Director of Marketing for the Fountain Department, Dave was given the mandate to restore profitability for the local market. He was cited for the development and execution a new “bundled lease” program that doubled the revenue per account in the local market.
Dave also worked in the consumer side of the beverage business. As Senior Manager for Coca-Cola USA, he introduced cherry Coke and Minute Maid soft drink products. Upon introduction, both achieved over two share-points, representing $500 million in retail sales.
Following his career with The Coca-Cola Company, Dave functioned as a turnaround executive for a bottled water company in financial distress. He developed and executed a business plan that included an innovative IRS settlement and achieved a 10-fold increase in average sales volume.
Based on the insights gained from that experience, Dave created a management-consulting practice that focused on improving client's marketing performance. Over the last two decades, Dave has worked with several companies to solve some of their more difficult business problems.
The Coca-Cola Company sponsored Dave’s MBA at Georgia State University. Dave is married and lives in Atlanta. He is an avid student of the Martial Arts and has been awarded a 3rd degree black belt in the Korean Martial Art of Choi Kwang Do.
